Doc: Food, Inc.

Food, Inc. is a real eye-opener.  This doc explores the food industry's detrimental effects on our health and environment.

I got my first taste of Monsanto (a.k.a Roundup) with this one and I proclaim that I officially hate this company!  If you’re not familiar with Monsanto, you owe it to your health and local, small farmers to get informed.

"Featuring interviews with such experts as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma, In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto) along with forward thinking social entrepreneurs like Stonyfield's Gary Hirshberg and Polyface Farms' Joel Salatin, Food, Inc. reveals surprising—and often shocking truths—about what we eat, how it's produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here."

Definitely check this doc out!

  3. Thanks so much for finding the Polyface site for me. I really appreciate you finding it!! I'm adding it to my blog links.

Looks like you have a nice selection and quality items. Thanks for supporting that farmer and all he is doing to keep a farm in this day and age. It's not easy.
