DIY: Avocado Face Mask

If you're like me, avocados tend to get away from you & turn before you get a chance to eat them - infuriating & gut wrenching!

But it doesn't have to end that way.  Instead, give your avocado a second chance in life as a moisturizing face mask!

Courtesy of Mother Nature, avocados are a natural moisturizer.  The oil of an avocado is rich in vitamins A, D and E, all of which help maintain healthy skin.

Applying avocado to the skin is not a new concept, people have been doing it for years.  Some even rub it onto their scalp to stimulate hair grow - apply for five minutes and then rinse.

Simply separate the avocado from it's skin & mash, apply for 10-15 minutes & wash off - that's it!

This can be especially soothing if you spent a little too much time in the sun without your sunscreen.

Eat it, wear it, either way - enjoy it!

  1. Ha ha, I can certainly relate to letting my avocados go bad before using them!! *blush* Thanks for the tip! I'm always looking for natural ways to treat my skin, versus the chemical filled alternatives! :)

  2. It happens to the best of us Christine!
